A highlight of our Florida vacation was the day we spent at the Naples Botanical Garden.
This 120 acre site features 6 gardens: Asian, Brazilian, Caribbean,
a Florida Garden, a Water Garden and a fun, hands-on Children's Garden,
all with magnificently landscaped cactus, succulents, bromeliads and palm trees!
It was so peaceful to walk among the gardens of this tropical oasis.
.
At the time of our visit, they were featuring a special sculpture exhibit called
"Nature Connects, Art with Lego Bricks."
It was a bonus to see the inspired-by-nature sculptures here and there throughout the garden.
Not to mention the memories they brought back of when our kids were in those Lego-crazed years!
Come stroll with me...
Lego goldfinches at the feeder. Even the seeds are Lego bricks!
A Monarch in the butterfly garden...
...and a Swallowtail made of Legos!
The centerpiece of the Brazilian Garden is this colorful mosaic by Roberto Burle Marx,
who is known as the "father of modern landscape architecture."
Lego lily pads, complete with lotus flower and friendly frog!
Queen's Wreath
A beautiful day together!
