Nora Butler’s Whimsical Seaside Illustrations

norabutler4

I found some delightful prints online done by Nora Butler
and knew right away that I'd have to include them in my blog.
Wait - it gets better.
I discovered that Nora has a shop - in Naples, Florida,
of all places, where we'd soon be vacationing!
The coincidence was too cool to ignore.

Sure enough, we found Nora Butler Designs
in Naples' Crayton Cove, at 800 12th Avenue South.
Total beach charm, the shop was stuffed to the gills with
Nora's prints, figurines, clothing and note cards.
And as a bonus - I got to meet the artist herself.

Nora was blessed to grow up with Florida sand between her toes.
She developed both a talent for drawing and a love for the shore at a young age.
Her illustrations invite us to pause and look closer at what's within,
to take time to appreciate the details.

A terrific day at Clam Pass Park in Naples!
A 3/4 mile long boardwalk ventures through a tunnel of mangroves.
This perfect Florida nature trail can be experienced on foot or by tram.

A Sunny Stroll on Naples Pier

Pier1

Aaaah, back in Naples, Florida!
The Naples Pier has become a favorite place to visit.
Reaching out 1,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico, it's perfect for
people-watching, checking out the fishermen and their catches, dophin-spotting,
taking in the view, sighting shore birds and absorbing the warm sunshine.

Naples, FL ~Out & About

BLOG4

A stupendous vacation in Naples, Florida!
Here's a conglomeration of photos from our trip.
Lots of links if you'd like to look into a visit of your own!

From Bayfront Naples (above)
we boarded the Naples Bay Water Shuttle for a tour of the bay.
A great deal at just $5.00 each, it included stops at Tin City, (see that post HERE),
and The Boathouse, where we had a yummy dock-side lunch!
