Textile artist Mandy Pattullo lives in Northumberland, England.
Starting out by piecing together vintage quilts, needlework and fabrics,
she adds her hand-stitching and applique work to create lovely textile art collages.
She prefers using items that bring their own histories to the piece.
Beautiful work, Mandy!

Don't you love how she continued the flowers and this woman's
armful of wheat out onto the piece with embroidery stitches?
I especially like her use of hexagon shapes that brings honeycombs to mind.
Echoing the flower on the printed fabric...
We all like a wise old owl.

This is a beautiful way to pass on family history. I’m going to try it, and I’ve passed on the idea to my granddaughter.
