matouenpeluche

Found this great infographic that's all about tea!
I liked seeing the top brands and where they're made.
Enjoy these interesting facts, including the terrific health benefits!
Make mine green, with extra honey, please.

Stryker Farm

Stryker1

Off on another of our day trips.
This time, to the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.
I do love an adventure!

Stryker2

Our destination was Stryker Farm in Saylorsburg,
to see "livestock raised on pasture and forest."
With organic, free-range, and natural food so popular today,
it was so interesting to see these concepts in practice.

Meat, milk, and eggs are sold farm-direct for wholesale distribution.
The Stryker Farm Store will be opening soon!

Stryker6

Here's one of the farm's two livestock guardian dogs,
an ideal mix of Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherd, and Akbash.
They take their jobs very seriously, keeping coyote, fox and black bear far away from their wards.

In the photo below, you can see the hen house on the far hillside.
This gives a good idea of all the open space the animals enjoy.

Meet the Farmer himself, Nolan Thevenet.

So, how did the name "Stryker" originate?
The maiden name of Nolan's dear grandmother.

Geninne's Illustrated Birds

Ah, the delightful art of Geninne D. Zlatkis!
She lives near Mexico City, goes by only her first name, and has a dog named Turbo.

I visited her blog, where she's posted several photos of her studio and home.
I just wanted to reach in and live there!
I'm quite envious, especially of her amazing collection of succulents.

Her whimsical style is more than marvelous.
The vivid color combinations! The details!
And it doesn't hurt that birds are one of my very favorite things.

Take a look, and you'll see what I'm raving about!

Here's where you can keep track of Geninne:

Crafts in the Meadow at Tyler State Park

Each year, Tyler Park Center for The Arts hosts their
invitational craft show called "Crafts in the Meadow".
It's located in Richboro, which is in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

This autumn event has long been a favorite of mine.
I love heading to nearby Tyler Park to see what gems the juried artisans have to offer.
Here are some of the treasures that caught my attention!

The amazing art of Eric Boynton of Clay Rat Studio
I was especially drawn to the brown trout (center of the photo).

Lucious hand dyed and spun yarns by Susan Nadelson.
I wrote a post all about Susan's work.

No afternoon at a craft show is complete without a bag of warm kettle corn!

I really liked these smooth, hand-carved spoons by DeWitt Spoons and Bowls.
