My husband and I recently visited Rickett's Glen State Park,
13,050 acres of lush, natural beauty in northeastern Pennsylvania.
We hiked the Falls Trail and were thrilled by the stunning waterfalls,
the largest being Ganoga Falls, at 94 feet high.
This isn't an easy hike; the trail is steep going downhill one way,
with a steep uphill climb on the returning loop.
It's not the ideal adventure for anyone with physical concerns.
The falls are surrounded by nature at its finest:
a variety of trees, ferns, moss, and majestic outcrops of rock.
October's glorious changing foliage was well underway.
The stream accompanied us as we hiked,
whether as a gentle trickle or as a loud roar at the falls.
The air seemed cleaner, the atmosphere serene.
If you love to hike in the great outdoors,
this is the place for you!
