  Mid-Century Madness is my favorite vendor in the Mad Hatter Antique Mall.

It's located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in Adamstown,

which is known as Antiques Capital, USA.

Their selection of fifties modern collectibles is unsurpassed! 

The displays are impeccably and imaginatively organized,

making a walk through the aisles a pleasant trip back in time.

It's a veritable Retro-Wonderland!

How about this assortment of chandeliers?

A great kiddie-size table & chair set in classic pink & black.

What a selection of vintage aprons & tablecloths!

I always love to look at vintage globes.

Lovin' Those Vintage Ceramic Christmas Trees

I was delighted to see lots of vintage ceramic Christmas trees 

while shopping at Adamstown, PA's Mad Hatter Antique Mall.

So many, in fact, that I felt justified to show them off 

with a blog post of their very own.

Different sizes and styles. Green or white glazes.

Multi-color or all one color lights shaped like flames, balls or birds.

Snow tipped boughs, or not. Glitter, or not. Star on top, or not.

It was fun to see the variety.

Mid Century Madness

Maybe a big reason why I'm attracted to them is because way back in 1985,

I attended ceramics classes at a local shop and made one of my own,

which I gifted to my then soon-to-be mother and father-in-law!

A Stroll Through the Mad Hatter Antique Mall in Adamstown, PA

Adamstown is the antique capital of Pennsylvania,

so I knew that eventually I'd need to make a road trip there!

When that day arrived, I chose Mad Hatter Antiques for my first stop.

It's name was given since the building used to be a hat factory!

After a 2008 renovation, the 15,000 square feet of space 
took on a new life, housing over 100 antique vendors. 

This chandelier is pretty similar to the one that was in my 

childhood home, so I got some serious warm-fuzzies!

This gets my blue ribbon award for the most unique item:

a wooden Texas-shaped display of various types of barbed wire!
