The Clever Illustrations of Jessica Roux

There's no denying that Jessica Roux's illustrations draw me in.
It's her subdued color scheme, the moody depth she creates with shading,
and her subject matter, which I find especially interesting.

Her groupings of items into themed collages are my favorites.
Take time to notice her clever choices:
cone flowers, dainty teacups, a morel mushroom, ornate embroidery scissors.

Jessica's subject matter reflects her infatuation with nature.
I feel instantly calmed as I look through the illustrations of this talented artist.
See if you do, too.

others transform a yellow spot into the sun."

Fabulous Vintage Prints by Victorian Wall Art

Voytek, of Poland, digitally enhances vintage illustrations
and makes affordable prints available to us
through his Etsy shop, Victorian Wall Art.
He's inspired by antique lithographs and
the works of famous naturalists.

I love the soft, rich tones.
They'd add a touch of class to any decor.
Here are some examples of what Voytek has to offer~

Lemon Blueberry Dessert

lemonblueberry6

Lemon and blueberries. Two of my favorites. The combination is fabulous!
This recipe shouts "summertime"!
I've taken it to many events and it's always a hit. Hope you'll like it too!

Lemon Blueberry Dessert
Crust-
2 C crushed butter crackers (1 sleeve)
1/3 C powdered sugar
1/3 C butter, melted

Filling-
12 oz Cool Whip, thawed
6 oz frozen lemonade, partially thawed
1 T lemon juice
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
2 C fresh blueberries

Combine crust ingredients and press into bottom of ungreased 9x13" pan.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Combine filling ingredients, then fold in blueberries.
Spread gently over cooled crust.
Cover and chill 4 hours.

Note: The 6 oz size of lemonade was not available,
so I used half of the 12 oz size as pictured.
