Jackie Cardy's creativity is evident in these embroidered feltworks.

This textile art requires a multi-step process to achieve such amazing results:

constructing the felt, dying the silk velvet, machine or hand-stitching 

the embroidered embellishments that add texture and definition, and so on.

Karen Nicol’s Innovative Textile Design

Karen Nicol, of London, England, is a marvelously imaginative textile artist!

At a young age, she fell in love with embroidery and determined to make it her career.

With the courage to reach beyond the expected, she collaborated 

with others to design textiles for fashion and interiors,

finally exhibiting her work in galleries under her own name.

She's experimented with laces and has showcased her designs 

through a series of animals, including 2D and 3D embroidery.

Karen’s textile artistry is nothing short of innovative. 

She is passionate about embroidery and loves to teach and encourage others.

Ceridwen Hazelchild Totes

Ceridwen Hazelchild's studio is located within the Cotswolds - a range of hills in western England named an "area of outstanding natural beauty". 

There she designs and illustrates textiles in a most whimsical way. 

I was charmed by her collection of re-usable tote bags. 

Such a fun, colorful encouragement to be environmentally-minded!

Sojourner - Lambertville, NJ

I stopped by Sojourner, a great store with unique items from around the world.
Such inspiration to add a touch of the exotic to our decor!

There's something about finding a gem of a shop along a quaint street.

Richly crafted furniture pieces and accessories are brought in 
from all over the world, including Indonesia, China and Turkey.

 Lush fabrics! Cottons, velvets, silks. 
Ikat. Intricate embroidery.

These patterned skirts are just one example of the colorful clothing

you'll find from countries like Guatemala, Japan and Bali.
