I'm In a (Vintage) Pickle

Be they sweet, dill, or my favorite bread and butter, you gotta love pickles!
Can't say what overcame me, but I was inspired to gather these
vintage pictures of pickles and their cucumber relatives.
Ads, recipe books, poems, seed packets, sheet music,
and even the bags you use for those big pickles in barrels.

Enjoy this perky peck of pickle pics from the past!

For you, Marisa. 😉

A St. Patrick’s Day Gallery

Warm St. Patrick's Day wishes
from a gal who hasn't a drop of Irish blood in her veins.
But every year on March 17th, everybody's Irish, right?
Enjoy this gallery and
have a Happy St. Paddy's Day!

The Art of … Seashells

kajasa klaesen

Sea Shell
-by Amy Lowell

Sea shell, sea shell,
Sing me a song, O please!
A song of ships, and sailor men,
And parrots, and tropical trees,
Of islands lost in the Spanish Main
Which no man ever may find again,
Of fishes and corals under the waves,
And seahorses stabled in great green caves.
Sea shell, sea shell,
Sing of the things you know so well.
