Over-the-Top Italian Food at Little Nonna’s in Philly

LittleNonna's1

I just love it when we find a new restaurant and give it a two-thumbs-up!
That was the case with Little Nonna's, a wonderful Italian place in Philly.
Small, quaint and cozy with an outstanding menu.
A special place to celebrate a special day - our wedding anniversary!

We started off with Fig Bruschetta:
grilled figs, robiola, caramelized shallots, thyme, local honey & hazelnuts.
Are you kidding me? I've-died-and-gone-to-Heaven delicious!

The Cucumber & Melon Salad: heirloom cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe,
ricotta salata, green onion pesto, toasted pistachio, opal basil.
As fresh and delicious as it was pretty!

Pan-seared Gnocci: golden oyster mushroom, charred corn, pancetta,
blistered cherry tomatoes, tarragon, truffle butter. Fab-u-lous!

Dessert? Why, yes! We'd like the cannoli, please.
Hazelnut ricotta, dark chocolate ganache, toasted hazelnuts.

Here's the Little Nonna's website.
They're also on FacebookTwitter & Instagram.
Join them for lunch or dinner at 1234 Locust St., Philadelphia.

The hubby says, "We're coming back!"
Next time - their Sunday Gravy.
